We stayed at the Birkdale Guest House for two nights whilst visiting relatives, room was lovely, very friendly relaxed atmosphere.
We enjoyed our two night stay immensely enjoying the relaxed atmosphere, lovely room, friendly home from home. Would definitely recommend at stay at the Birkdale Guesthouse, top marks.

Stayed at this guest house from 3rd to 5th March is an excellent place. Marion and her husband are really lovely people and make you really welcome. Breakfast was of very high standard and the rooms were very clean and bed very comfortable would recommend this guest house probably better than hotels in Southport

Arrival what to expect: We arrived into an impeccably kept reception hall usherred into an ante room offerred hot pot of tea and buscuits with a run down of the main attractions in the area. First impressions:Genuine people who are obviously proud to serve and please their guests, pity they allow shoes on their well kept carpets. Our room was in the attic tastefully decorated – a four star ambiance in a quiet corner of Birkdale.
Breakfast and Hospitality: We are generally not breakfast eaters but we could not resist the allure of conviviality at the breakfast table all the other guests were repeat residents so it was like a family at meal time.
Saying Goodbye: My wife was resolved that if we dont go abroad at anytime this is where we should come -this quiet part of England where we can feel at home.
The town of Birkdale:Restaurant prices reasonable, next door to Southport an oasis of culture and quiet retreats. We have found a home from home.
